It is marked “coin silver”, which is considered 90% silver. Our country had minted our coins (namely dimes, quarters, half dollars, & dollars of 90% pure silver up until the year 1964). This is considered to be a watch fob, watch fobs went out of style several decades ago, so I’m assuming the same date range for this beautifully made item.
